ORANGE IS AN ATTITUDE

Violence against women takes many forms. And not every sign is visible at first glance.

  1. RECOGNISE

    Violence has to be recognised and named. Psychological, sexual, physical or digital violence is not always visible at first glance.

  2. MAKE IT VISIBLE

    Change needs visibility. Through art, music and encounters, we draw attention to violence against women and girls – and make room for their voices and perspectives.

  3. MOVE TOGETHER

    Awareness is the beginning. Movement is the goal. We bring people, ideas and initiatives together to take a stand and make change possible.

What connects us can move something. With RISE we support projects that start exactly where change begins.

  • A Caritas project

    STAR*K

    Since 2019, STAR*K has been helping young people recognise violence against women and girls — and stand up to it.

    The STAR*K team runs tailored workshops for teenagers and young adults as well as for educators and multipliers working in integration, education and youth work. Every year it also trains STAR*K peers who run their own small projects against violence towards women and girls.

    The programme is aimed at schools and educational and youth institutions in Vienna and Lower Austria. It builds the courage to speak up, questions gender roles and strengthens a life free of violence.

  • The impact programme by MADITA

    herVOICE school

    herVOICE school is MADITA's new impact programme for girls from the age of 14: five months of peer mentoring with mentors from business who share their experience and open up new perspectives.

    It centres on personal growth, career orientation and financial independence. Workshops, face-to-face encounters and an AI companion accompany the girls along the way.

    Because a self-determined life begins with self-confidence.

Your voice, your space, our movement. Not every woman is heard. Not every woman can be loud. And not every woman has the same opportunities. That’s why we create spaces where women come together, listen to each other and lift each other up.

You never RISE! alone.

Our manifesto

We believe change begins where people stand up. Speak out. Ask questions. Challenge limits. Take new paths. Show themselves. Act together.

We live in a time when societies are drifting apart, when polarisation and isolation are growing and people increasingly stay inside their own echo chambers. RISE! answers that with a culture of togetherness. We believe in the power of encounter, in different voices, and in the power of stories and conversation.

Change needs visibility. Visibility creates awareness. And awareness is the basis for change.

RISE! brings people, ideas and initiatives together to create movement around the issues that move women. We believe in the power of doing things together. That's why we create our own formats, give a stage to existing initiatives and join forces with people and organisations already making things move. We follow three principles:

Amplify

We give voices, ideas and initiatives more visibility. We make relevant issues bigger, louder and more accessible.

Not everything that creates change has to come from RISE! Sometimes our most important job is to amplify what is already in motion.

Connect

We believe in the power of connection. We bring together people who want to move something. We create encounters, open up spaces and build bridges between people, perspectives and possibilities.

We bring voices into conversation, build new networks and give ideas the chance to inspire and develop each other. When people connect, a force emerges that is greater than any one of us.

Activate

We don't want to stop at attention. We want to move people, inspire them, shake them up and bring them into action. Through conversations. Through images. Through music. Through encounters. Through shared experiences.

Awareness is the beginning. Movement is the goal.

RISE! can be a Future Lab. A rave. An exhibition. A conversation. A concert. A fundraiser. The format can change. The attitude stays.

We believe women need no permission to raise their voice. RISE! makes sure there is room for it.

We believe a woman's body belongs to her. Her decisions belong to her. Her future belongs to her.

We believe in a world where women are not only visible but shape things. Not only take part, but lead. Not only get heard, but decide themselves what should be heard.

RISE! does not want to speak for women. RISE! wants to create more room for women to speak, shape, lead and stand up themselves.

Change begins with what we can imagine together. What we can imagine together, we can also change.

One voice can change something. Many voices can become a movement. And a movement can change the world.
